Has Peta gone too far? Comparing eating turkey to eating the family dog? You decide. And I wouldn’t recommend talking about this with young kids but for older kids, it could be a neat launching point for that burred line between advocacy and sensationalism. How about the fact that PETA wants Nintendo to stop having Mario transform into that squirrel character because it makes kids think fur is acceptable. It’s stuff like that that completely delegitimatizes PETA. My charity dollars go to the Humane Society.
