I just read a great article in the San Francisco Chronicle about the most requested celebrity knock-offs, according to plastic surgeons, and it might surprise you a lot of the copycat requests are coming from … men. Did you know men come in asking for George Clooney’s jawline, Jude Law’s nose, and Ashton Kucher’s cheekbones?
Here ‘s the full story:
In the world of plastic surgery, celebrities’ features are sometimes mentioned by patients as a way of articulating a specific result they hope plastic surgery can provide. “Bringing in a photo can be very helpful,” San Francisco plastic surgeon Dr. Edward Miranda of the Pacific Plastic Surgery Group said in a recent interview. “Sometimes people have celebrity pictures, sometimes pictures from fashion magazines. Makeup ads are a popular source of inspiration.”
Miranda shared some of the most popular requests he’s had recently with the current crop of celebrity faces and features, which you can see in the gallery above. “The most commonly requested celebrity feature right now is Megan Fox’s eyes, specifically the eyebrow line: She has the perfect eyebrow-upper eyelid curl. Women and men both love that; I’ve had a lot of requests in the last two months,” he said.
Breast augmentation surgery continues to be popular, with two particular celebrity bosoms requested. “For women that can accommodate more curves, Salma Hayek is the most popular,” Miranda said. “Jennifer Aniston is the top choice for women with smaller figures.” For women 40 and older classic stars are more commonly mentioned. “Elizabeth McGovern is the ‘Downton Abbey’ actress that’s mentioned the most, usually by women 40, 50 and older that like her overall graciousness, what she represents. Audrey Hepburn’s nose is the most popular with women over 40.” Sophia Loren continues to garner mentions for her “agelessness.”
On the men’s side, Ashton Kutcher’s cheekbones are a popular reference along with Jude Law’s nose — “one of the most popular male noses,” according to Miranda. “Especially with the curl it gives the upper lip.” George Clooney and Robert Pattinson have the most requested jawlines in their peer groups.
